Launcher Dashboard

Launcher is a self-service enterprise platform built to simplify and automate complex Data & Analytics operational processes across organizational units. The platform enables teams to provision analytical environments, manage infrastructure configurations, subscribe to data pipelines, and publish data products without direct engagement from platform or engineering teams. The project focused on transforming highly manual, fragmented workflows into scalable, guided, and automated user experiences that significantly reduced operational complexity and accelerated delivery processes across the organization.

Challenge

Before Launcher, provisioning and data onboarding processes were fragmented, manual, and heavily dependent on platform teams. Users had to coordinate through emails, meetings, and documentation-heavy procedures to request infrastructure, configure environments, or subscribe to data products.

The lack of centralized workflows, visibility, and self-service capabilities caused long delivery times and operational bottlenecks:

  • Launchpad provisioning could take up to 2 weeks,

  • CDL subscription workflows up to 30 working days,

  • and even small configuration changes required engineering involvement.

The challenge was to redesign these complex enterprise processes into scalable self-service experiences while maintaining governance, approvals, and security requirements.

Approach

I helped design a scalable UX ecosystem focused on workflow automation, guided onboarding, and enterprise self-service.

The platform introduced modular step-by-step creators that dynamically adapted to different user scenarios and technical configurations. Instead of relying on documentation and manual coordination, users were guided through contextual workflows for provisioning, subscriptions, security setup, and infrastructure management.

My work included:

  • UX research and stakeholder workshops,

  • mapping complex enterprise workflows,

  • designing adaptive multi-step experiences,

  • simplifying technical processes for non-expert users,

  • and contributing to a scalable design system and reusable workflow patterns.

The UX strategy focused on reducing cognitive overload, exposing only relevant steps, and creating intuitive experiences for highly technical operation

Research & Discovery

A significant part of the project focused on UX research and discovery across enterprise teams involved in infrastructure, subscriptions, and data provisioning processes.

Research activities included:

  • stakeholder workshops and qualitative user interviews,

  • workflow and process mapping,

  • identifying operational bottlenecks and usability issues.

The research revealed major challenges related to fragmented processes, technical complexity, and unclear ownership between teams.

Based on these insights, I helped redesign the experience into guided, contextual workflows that reduced cognitive load and simplified complex enterprise operations into scalable self-service experiences.

Outcome

Launcher transformed complex enterprise provisioning and data-management processes into scalable self-service experiences.

The platform significantly reduced manual operational effort and accelerated delivery timelines across multiple workflows:

  • Launchpad provisioning reduced from 2 weeks to around 2 hours,

  • CDL subscription workflows reduced from 30 working days to approximately 2 hours,

  • FlexFlow provisioning reduced from 5 days to 1 day.

The redesign enabled:

  • large-scale process automation,

  • reduced dependency on platform teams,

  • centralized workflow management,

  • improved governance visibility,

  • faster onboarding for new teams,

  • and a more intuitive experience for highly technical enterprise operations.

The project established a scalable UX foundation for future D&A platform capabilities while supporting multiple organizational units, engineering teams, analysts, and data product owners within a unified ecosystem.
